A thin tube, known as a catheter, is inserted into blood vessels or specific internal organs to allow the injection of a contrast medium to allow X-ray examination, or to perform other medical procedures. These treatments can take the place of surgery, minimizing invasiveness.

PTCA Balloon Catheters
A catheter used for percutaneous transluminal coronary angioplasty, used to treat cases where an artery or heart valve is suffering from narrowing or blockage. A catheter incorporating a tiny balloon is introduced into the problem area, and the balloon is inflated, widening the passageway and restoring circulation.
