Vascutek acquired bioprosthetic heart valve business from Köhler

Vascutek Ltd. and Kohler Chemie Ltd. are pleased to announce that the tissue heart valve business of Kohler Chemie Ltd. has been acquired by Vascutek Ltd.

Vascutek Ltd. is a subsidiary of Terumo Corporation and is engaged in the vascular graft business.

Vascutek Ltd. has developed a novel biological valve conduit (composite of biological valve and synthetic vascular graft) for aortic root repair – BioValsalva. This product incorporates the proven Elan porcine tissue heart valve which has been manufactured by Kohler Chemie Ltd.
