Terumo Donates 1 Million Yen's Worth of Syringes and Other Emergency Medical Supplies to the Areas Devastated by the 2006 Indonesia Java Earthquake.

Terumo Corporation (Headquarters: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo. President: Akira Takahashi) has donated 1 million yen's worth of syringes, Solution sets and other emergency medical supplies needed for medical care in regions stricken by the earthquakes in Java, Indonesia.

1. Background of the Donation

The support activities are done in the area of distress due to this earthquake. Through PT. Terumo Indonesia offering services in the area, Terumo has exchanged information with local aid organizations and hospitals in Indonesia, identified medical supplies needed for emergency medical care and made arrangements to send the donation.

3. Timing and Method

Terumo donated medical devices to several hospitals in the area through PT. Terumo Indonesia. The donation was made through the Japanese Red Cross Society.
