Terumo Latin America Corporation to be established as the regional headquarters for business in Central and South America

Terumo Corporation (Head office: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; President: Takashi Wachi) will establish Terumo Latin America Corporation in Miami, Florida, U.S.A. on April 1, 2002, as a wholly owned subsidiary of our subsidiary, Terumo Medical Corporation.

Up to the present, we have been conducting sales activities for business in Central and South America through Terumo Medical Corp.(New Jersey,U.S.A) as the headquarters with its Miami Branch, an affiliated company in Mexico (Terumo Medical de Mexico, SA de CV) and another affiliated company in Brazil (Terumo Medical do Brazil, Limitada).

From now on we will be carrying out our sales activities in the Central and South American markets with Terumo Latin America Corp. as the headquarters, and will make efforts to strengthen our sales of Cardiovascular system , blood bags and other specialized products in Mexico and Brazil, where expansion of the market is expected.

Moreover, the affiliated companies in Mexico (Terumo Medical de Mexico, SA de CV) and Brazil (Terumo Medical do Brazil, Limitada), which are presently subsidiaries of Terumo Medical Corp., will become subsidiaries of Terumo Latin America Corp. as of April 1, 2002.
